MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG Radcliffe, Groff Cast Signed Off-Broadway & Bway Playbills Click images to enlarge Description The Broadway company of Merrily We Roll Along have been amazingly enthusiastic in their fundraising efforts and won the award for most money raised during the winter Red Buckets fundraising. They've continued that incredible energy and created some special items for their spring Red Buckets fundraising. These items will only be available until April 26th. This is what the company calls the "Broadway Bundle." Included in each bundle is a cast signed Merrily We Roll Along Broadway Playbill, a New York Theatre Workshop Merrily We Roll Along Playbill signed by the principal cast members. Additionally each bundle includes a very special limited edition hoodie that was custom created by a member of the Merrily Broadway wardrobe team. The design features a glitter logo that reads "Dountown Club." Two size XL hoodies are available. I've added the size chart to the listing. To have signed Playbills from both the Broadway & NYTW runs is extraordinarily rare so this is a remarkable opportunity and all the more extraordinary as you can also own a hoodie that was created exclusively for the cast & crew. Signature placement on the Playbills may vary and there may be some smudging to some of the signatures, but every Playbill has been autographed by Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez and many additional members of this incredibly talented and generous cast. CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, PLAYBILL, 1981

Sold on eBay March 16th, 2025

CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, PLAYBILL, 1981

Every purchase will include an extra something for free, as a bonus. It's not going to be anything spectacular. It could be a random magnet from a show, it could be show flyer, an understudy slip, it could be a 'second' Playbill that has some damage. It could be something good like a brand new Playbill that I just have a lot of. If you ask, I'll send you a picture of a few things and you can pick! F.A.Q.A: I'm happy to combine shipping of items. A: Posters will ship flat, properly, in a plastic sleeve, in a protector, in a large mailer.A: Playbills will ship flat, in a plastic sleeve in a bubble mailerA: Items labeled Window Card and/or Posters are 14”x22” unless otherwise noted above. Q: What is The Spanky Project?A: Spanky is/was the most amazing dog I ever could have ever asked for, and I didn’t even go out looking for a dog, he adopted me. We were together for 15 years. I had to put him down in October of 2021 and I decided I wanted him to be my legacy, to leave his name around, long after I’m gone (is the plan). I thought what better way, than to help those that can’t help themselves, dogs like him! He was from the pound and I thought helping shelters rescues that are always needing help with supplies to keep themselves going would be a great way to give back and keep his memory alive. He was 17/18ish when I put him down, the hardest choice I’ve ever had to make. If you have any dogs, please give them some extra loving, because one day you won't be able to. Q: What about cats?A: Not a good show, imo. Q: People?A: I help people too, sometimes. I just prefer to help dogs. I recently bought a man a train ticket for $54 to get him back home because I thought it would be easier than him trying to hitchhike four hours back to Albany on an on-ramp in Buffalo, even drove him to the train station. I will often offer to buy someone begging for money something to eat, surprisingly they don’t always take you up on it. Q: Why sell Broadway Stuff?A: I freaking love Broadway. I even met my wife in a Broadway fb group. We live Broadway, we love Broadway. I have some leftover shoes/boots and maybe other random stuff I’m selling too, but that’s for me personally to get rid of. Q: Why are you more expensive than other people selling the same item?A: I don’t really know what most of this stuff is worth; have a fair offer, send me a message, let’s chat. To be honest, I just won’t sell anything for less than $10-15. I work 40-50 hours a week. I just won’t make a special trip for $4, plus the time spent packing it, gas to drive to the post office. I’m not trying to be a jerk, it’s just not worth it, plus I don’t keep anything I bring in anyway, it’s all for a good cause. Listing things is time consuming, insert other reasons here why I just won’t sell something for $6, eBay fees, shipping fees, packing supplies, it all adds up. Q: How do I know you are really donating money to a dog rescue; people lie.A: That’s why I help dogs, they don’t, lol. You can check out our fb page for proof I do what I say I do. My wife and I donated all of our wedding money to a dog rescue, the proof is there, I’m not making this up. I’m also giving 10% to Broadway Cares, Equity Fights Aids, which is where some of our stuff comes from. Make sure if you do check out the page, search THE Spanky Project. Q: How long will it take for you to ship?A: I will do my best to get your item shipped within a of couple days, my days off are Wednesday and Sunday (Post Office is closed Sunday). If you buy something on Thursday, I will try to get it out Friday or Monday, but if it’s busy at work it may not get out until the following Wednesday. Need it shipped urgently, please let me know first, I’ll do my best. I just want to set you up for realistic expectations, this is a for charity side hustle, so I do everything when I can! Q: What else do I need to know before I possibly pay more for the same item from you?A: There is so much more to say, but please, let me know if you have any questions before you bid/buy. I just want to leave my dent in the world and do as much good as I can to help as many doggos as possible. Thank you for your consideration

PLAYBILL for DEATH OF A SALESMAN Signed by Arthur Miller and Dustin Hoffman 1984

This copy of the Broadhurst Theatre PLAYBILL for DEATH OF A SALESMAN, Signed by Arthur Miller and Dustin Hoffman was published by Playbill Incorporated in 1984 to accompany that year’s production of the critically acclaimed play starring Dustin Hoffman as the salesman, Willie Loman. The signatures of both Arthur Miller, the play’s playwright, and Dustin Hoffman appear on the front cover of the Playbill. The Playbill magazine, which measures approximately 5 ½ inches wide by 8 ½ inches tall, contains 134 pages of text, illustrations and advertisements related to the play, the theater world, and the New York environment in which theaters are prominent. The magazine is staple bound in stiff paper covers. The two signatures, on the front cover, are clean and unblemished. The magazine is complete and in fine condition. The illustrations accompanying this description show the front cover of the Playbill, the “Title Page” for the play, a 2-page spread showing the cast and some of Arthur Miller’s “own words about life and art”, and a page of “Scenes from Death of a Salesman”. Arthur Asher Miller (October 17, 1915 – February 10, 2005) was an American playwright, essayist and screenwriter in the 20th-century American theater. Among his most popular plays are All My Sons (1947),Death of a Salesman (1949), The Crucible (1953), and A View from the Bridge (1955). He wrote several screenplays, including The Misfits (1961). The drama Death of a Salesman is considered one of the best American plays of the 20th century. [Wikipedia] Dustin Lee Hoffman (born August 8, 1937) is an American actor. As one of the key actors in the formation of New Hollywood, Hoffman is known for his versatile portrayals of antiheroes and emotionally vulnerable characters. He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Hoffman has received numerous honors, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1997, the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1999, and the Kennedy Center Honors Award in 2012. Actor Robert De Niro has described him as "an actor with the everyman's face who embodied the heartbreakingly human". [Wikipedia]
RARE 1797 AMERICAN PLAYBILL BROADSIDE SIGN BOSTON THEATRE The Lynn Shoe Maker

Sold on eBay August 14th, 2023

RARE 1797 AMERICAN PLAYBILL BROADSIDE SIGN BOSTON THEATRE The Lynn Shoe Maker

My listings this week will include a Fine Group of Antique Theatre Playbills, including a couple of Very Rare 18thC American Playbill Broadsides. Most important is a Feb. 3, 1794 Silk Playbill Broadside for the Grand Opening Performance of the Federal Street Theatre in Boston ("Boston Theatre"), possibly the earliest American silk playbill in existence and likely the earliest Boston playbill (comes with provenance history that was attached to back of framed playbill). Also, another nice larger 1797 Boston Theatre Playbill Broadside. Both of these early American playbills originating from the historic Whitney family estate in the Boston area. Other nice 19thC American Playbills and Early-20thC Theatre Programs as well. Also, I will be listing a c.1824 "Welcome Lafayette" Silk Ribbon as well as a wonderful and rare c.1870 Advertising Broadside Lithograph for the "Eating House" in Wethersfield, CT at the Depot of the Hartford & Wethersfield Horse Railroad. I will be listing other significant Old Ephemera items this month as well as I find time Here is a RARE 18THC AMERICAN BOSTON THEATRE PLAYBILL BROADSIDE. "MR. VILLIERS' NIGHT" for APRIL 17, 1797. "HEIGHO FOR A HUSBAND" along with "A DAY IN BOSTON; OR, THE LYNN SHOE-MAKER". The playbill itself is 19-3/8" x 12-1/4". It has been matted and framed under glass in a chrome frame in its more recent history. Entire piece framed is 26-3/8" x 18-1/4". 18thC American playbills are very scarce. I'm not sure if this playbill is from the HAY-MARKET THEATRE (1796-1803) in Boston, or another Boston theatre. I found the title for this performance on a 1798 Hay-Market Theatre ad, but don't know if it could be from the Federal Street theatre or other theatre. This early American playbill is originating from the old Whitney family estate in the Boston area. The other 1794 Boston playbill I am listing this week was previously part of the private collection of Josiah Dwight Whitney (1819-1896), the noted geologist and Professor of Geology of Harvard University (Mt. Whitney and the Whitney Glacier are both named after him). Condition: The playbill was nicely matted and framed in its more recent history. Frame has a black matting with playbill backed by another black mat. There are some areas around the outer edge of matting where it looks like the matting has contacted the glass and created darker and splotchiness to matting there (see close-up photos). Otherwise okay. Will pack with care for buyer as with all my items. INSURANCE INCLUDED in the shipping total. Look for my Important 18thC Antique Silk Boston Theater Playbill I am listing as well this week. See listing for payment and shipping details. Payment is due within 5 days after auction end. Item is usually shipped within 2 business days after payment is received. My normal shipping days are Mon-Thurs. Feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Sweeney Todd Playbill signed by Angela Lansbury Stephen Sondheim and cast

Sweeney Todd Playbill signed by Angela Lansbury Stephen Sondheim and cast

eBay SWEENEY TODD Playbill signed by Angela Lansbury, Len Cariou, Stephen Sondheim, Hugh Wheeler (author) and five other cast members. SWEENEY TODD opened on Broadway in 1979, ran for 557 performances, won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Book and Best Director. It has enjoyed dozens of revivals in New York and London as well as around the world. Also in opera houses, as a successful film and an Emmy-winning PBS production. It is certainly Sondheim's most complex score and Angela Lansbury declared the part of Mrs. Lovett to be her favorite role. Playbill is in excellent condition. Previous owner has unobtrusively written his name and address on the back cover, penned an unintelligible note at the very bottom of the last page and another unobtrusive note in the right hand margin of the first page. Playbill binding is still tight and spine is straight, All pages are present and (except as noted) free from markings. Altogether a very nice souvenir and collector's item. Given all the signatures on the front cover, it is also the only one of its kind.

From Wikipedia:Laura Keene (July 20, 1826 – November 4, 1873) was a British stage actress and manager. In her twenty-year career, she became known as the first powerful female manager in New York.Early lifeBorn Mary Frances Moss in Winchester, England, Keene was a niece of the British actress Elizabeth Yates. Her parents were Jane Moss and Tomas King. As a teenager, Mary Frances Moss married a man named John Taylor and had two daughters, Clara and Emma Taylor. After a few years of marriage, John Taylor made a bad business investment and was forced to leave the country. He was eventually arrested and imprisoned in Australia. Because Taylor left Mary and her two daughters alone with no money, Mary decided to change her name to Laura Keene and jumped into the acting scene CareerKeene made her professional debut as Pauline in "The Lady of Lyons" in London. This was followed by performances at London's Royal Olympic Theatre and Royal Lyceum Theatre, including several months working under Madame Vestris. After less than a year performing in Britain, Keene accepted an offer from James William Wallack to go to New York City, and serve as the leading lady in the stock company at his successful theater. Her first performance at his theatre was in The Will as Albino Mandeville. She enjoyed great popularity during her time at Wallack's Theatre (September 20, 1852, through November 22, 1853). In order to have greater control over her career, she then entered into theater management with the help of John Lutz, who was with her for the rest of her career. She left Wallack's company unexpectedely one night and moved to Baltimore. Keene leased the Charles Street Theater, in Baltimore, from December 24, 1853, to March 2, 1854, where she acted as manager, director and performer. She started doing touring performances in California (April 6 through July 29, 1854), in Australia (October 23, 1854 through January 1855), and again in California (April 9 through October 4, 1855). During the first stint in California, she was hired by Catherine Norton Sinclair to play opposite Edwin Booth. After spending a month as the manager and lessee of the Union Theatre in San Francisco (from June 29 through July 29, 1854), Keene and Booth toured to Australia. Booth's drunken behavior in Australia put an end to their relationship and their tour.[1] On her return to California, she also managed the American Theatre. She managed and performed there for a few years until a new law was passed in California banning any form of entertainment on the Sabbath. This greatly decreased the attendance of theatre performances and gave Keene reason to leave and start a new project in New York.Upon returning to New York City, Keene leased the Metropolitan Theatre, remodeled it, renamed it Laura Keene’s Varieties, and served as manager, director and star performer from December 23, 1855 through June 21, 1856. She planned to continue at this location, but a rival theater owner, William Burton, purchased the building, and moved his own operation there. (It was renamed Burton’s New Theatre, and then the Winter Garden.)At this point, she lined up investors, along with an architect who specialized in theaters, and a new theater was constructed to her specifications. Named Laura Keene’s Theatre, it opened on November 18, 1856. Keene exercised complete control, managing, directing, and starring at this theater for seven seasons, through May 8, 1863.[2]After deciding to give up her own theater, Keene continued as manager and star of a company which toured the United States for most of the next ten years. She also served as manager of the Chestnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, from September 20, 1869, through March 25, 1870. Her final performance was on July 4, 1873, while touring in northern Pennsylvania Stage entertainment turned over quickly in that era, with few productions exceeding a dozen performances, but Keene bucked those odds. An 1857 show called The Elves ran for a record 50 performances. Moreover, 1860 was to prove itself an important year for her theater and American drama as well. On March 29, she premiered Dion Boucicault's The Colleen Bawn, which ran for six weeks until the end of the season on May 12; the highlight of this play was the creation of an ocean island on stage in a scene which culminated with the hero diving into the ocean to save the colleen bawn Eily O'Connor. (Betting on the play's success, Boucicault took The Colleen Bawn to London, where it opened on September 10, 1860 and ran for 230 performances, becoming the first long run in the history of English theater.) In November 1860, Keene premiered the musical The Seven Sisters, which featured extravagant sets and ran for 253 performances, an astonishing total for the time.[3]First producer and star of Our American CousinIn 1858, Our American Cousin debuted in Laura Keene's Theater. Her company was playing at Ford's Theatre, Washington, on the night of Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Keene entered the presidential box at Ford's Theatre after the President was shot by John Wilkes Booth, and cradled the wounded President's head in her lap right in front of Mary Todd Lincoln [4]DeathKeene died of tuberculosis at the age of 47 at Montclair, New Jersey. She is buried in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Carrie Opening Night Broadway Playbill & Rare Priceless Bonus 1988

eBay Carrie Opening Night Broadway Playbill May 12, 1988 plus Priceless BonusRemastered soundboard recording of Carrie the Musical from the final performance on Broadway on May 15, 1988. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Carrie is a musical with a book by Lawrence D. Cohen, lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and music by Michael Gore. Adapted from Stephen King's 1974 horror novel Carrie, it focuses on an awkward teenage girl with telekinetic powers whose lonely life is dominated by an oppressive religious fanatic mother. When she is humiliated by her classmates at the high school prom, she unleashes chaos on everyone and everything in her path out of vengeance. Originally premiering in the U.K. in 1988, Carrie opened on Broadway at the Virginia Theatre the same year, but closed after 16 previews and five regular performances. Due to the passionate response from both its critics and its fans, the show is considered one of the most notable failures in Broadway theatre history; a 1991 book written by Ken Mandelbaum, which chronicled the history of flop Broadway musicals, was partially entitled Not Since Carrie, and a 2021 podcast and subsequent 2023 book, Out for Blood, documented its creation and development.

The Producers Signed Autographed Playbill Mel Brooks Matthew Broderick N. Lane

The Producers Showbill Playbill (Chicago)This is a showbill (playbill) from the play “The Producers”. This is from the pre Broadway show. Before the play went to NY it had its debut in Chicago and was at the Cadillac Palace Theater. Instead of saying PLAYBILL it says SHOWBILL. This is extremely rare and it is signed by Mel Brooks, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. This comes with a third party COA from one of eBay’s recommended top authenticator companies JSA James Spence Authentication. The JSA COA sticker is on the back of the cover. Please zoom in on photos to see the condition of the item. It has your normal wear from being handled waiting for an autograph. Photos also serve as part of the description so please look at them closely. This is in excellent condition.FREE INCLUDED SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION A disclaimer on all photos I have up. Most of these autographs are well over 10 years old, some even over 20 years. They have surface scratches from being rubbed against other photos and normal wear from being handled. Please look at photos carefully and closely, ask me if you have any questions. Photos also serve as part of the description.I have been getting in-person autographs since I was 16 years old, I am going on 56 this year and I have decided to sell what autographs I have left and retire from this. Please keep checking back as I will be selling off my whole collection throughout the year. I am open to fair offers, I will not respond to any lowball offers.
