B.F. KEITH'S CIRCUIT VAUDEVILLE, Playbill type program, 02/03/1908, B.F. Keith's Theatre, Boston, MA. Measures 3.75 x 9.25 inches. The program consisted of Keith's Theatre Orchestra conducted by B.E. Grady; Mr. & Mrs Harry Thorne & Company in An Uptown Flat; 3 Nightingales (Groucho, Gummo and Mabel O'Donnell); Valdare Troup; Harry Fentelle and Eddie Carr; Harry L. Tighe and his collegians in Those Happy College Days; Vinie Daly; Frederic Voelker; May Irwin; Mr. Hymack; Searl and Violet Allen and their company in The Travelling Man; The Josettis and their Lilliputians; The Kinetograph: The intermittent Alarm Clock, Going To Switzerland and A Bewitched Son-In-Law; Black and Miller; Will and Mabel Casper; Juggling Elmer; Stereopticon Views - scenes in Berlin, Germany and Exit March, Admiral Dewey, Keith's Theatre Orchestra directed by B.E. Grady. In April of 1907, Groucho and Gummo Marx along with Mabel O'Donnell appeared in Atlantic City as (Ned) Wayburn's Nightingales and the name remained until November. Ned Wayburn ran into financial difficulties and the two Marx brothers' mother, Minnie took over management of the trio and changed the name to The Three Nightingales. In June of 1908 Mabel O'Donnell was dropped and Harpo and Lou Levy were added to form a quartet calling themselves (what else?) The Four Nightingales. The program is complete. This is NOT a reproduction!! Note: This is a regular Playbill size program. Condition is very good+ with some surface wear and left edge spine wear from being removed from a bound volume. Staples are intact and program is held together. CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible. BILLING: Please note: The eBay automated end-of-auction notice is NOT my invoice. I personally invoice 1-3 days after closing. I combine multiple wins, add fair postage and handling, and insurance if necessary or at your request. I ship in specially designed cardboard mailers. Payment is expected promptly. International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. THANKS for your interest and good luck with all your bidding!! MY BUSINESS: I have access to over 150,000 song sheets and thousands of theatre Playbills, programs, heralds, window cards and souvenir programs, and have been doing this as my full-time job for 16 years. I am available to help you with your collecting needs. Let me know what you'd like to see me list on eBay.
