eBay This is a beautiful autographed May 6th, 1946 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the MORTON GOULD, BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN musical comedy "BILLION DOLLAR BABY" which played the Alvin Theatre in New York City. (The production opened December 21st, 1945 and ran for 220 performances.) ..... The musical starred MITZI GREEN and JOAN McCRACKEN and featured WILLIAM TABBERT, DAVID BURNS, ROBERT CHISHOLM, DANNY DANIELS, SHIRLEY VAN, DON DE LEO, EMILY ROSS, HELEN GALLAGHER and JAMES MITCHELL ..... CREDITS: Music by MORTON GOULD; Book and Lyrics by BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN ("On the Town", "Wonderful Town", "Bells are Ringing", "Do Re Mi", "Subways are for Sleeping", "Fade Out, Fade In", "Hallelujah, Baby!", "Applause", "On the Twentieth Century", "The Will Rogers Follies"); Sets designed by OLIVER SMITH; Costumes designed by IRENE SHARAFF; Choreographed by JEROME ROBBINS; Directed by GEORGE ABBOTT; Produced by PAUL FEIGAY and OLIVER SMITH ..... The front cover was signed by playwrights BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
