This is a rare June 29th, 1923 programme (playbill) from a Special Matinee Benefit Performance of the BEN JONSON comedy "VOLPONE" at the Regent Theatre, King's Cross in London. (The production opened April 9th, 1928 and ran for 46 performances.) ..... Presented by the Phoenix Society, the performance was given in aid of the Funds of the Incorporated Stage Society. The play starred BALIOL HOLLOWAY in the title role and featured RUPERT HARVEY, D. LEWIN MANNERING, STANLEY LATHBURY, GEORGE ZUCCO, ROY BYFORD, JOHN H. MOORE, TRISTAN RAWSON, HOWARD ROSE, MATTHEW FORSYTH, EDWARD GARRETT, BRUCE WINSTON, EUGENE LEAHY, CHARLES MAUNSELL, MURRAY KINNELL, MARGARET YARDE, ISABEL JEANS, HENRY WINTER, ALAN EDMISTON, NELL CARTER and CLARE HARRIS .....
