This is a rare single page advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the Original Broadway production of the CY COLEMAN, DOROTHY FIELDS and NEIL SIMON musical comedy "SWEET CHARITY" at the Palace Theatre in New York City. (The production opened January 29th, 1966 at the newly refurbished Palace Theatre in New York City and ran for 608 performances.) ..... The musical starred GWEN VERDON (shown in the cover photo) and featured JOHN McMARTIN, HELEN GALLAGHER, THELMA OLIVER, JAMES LUISI, ARNOLD SOBOLOFF, RUTH BUZZI, MARIE WALLACE, JOHN WHEELER, BARBARA SHARMA and HELEN GALLAGHER ..... CONDITION: With the exception of two horizontal folds, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
